Earline Rae Loftiss, 85, of KCK, passed away June 10, 2017. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 16th at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17th at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Earline Rae Loftiss, 85, of KCK, passed away June 10, 2017. Earline was born November 27, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas to Earl and Eleanor Woodson. She graduated from high school and later married the love of her life, Howard Loftiss on June 24, 1949. Earline worked for over ten years at Reliance Printing as a book binder. They were long time members of Brenner Heights Baptist Church which later merged with Victory Hills. Earline was a founding member of the Royal Scarlet Mamas Red Hat group; a former President of the American Baptist Women; and "Queen" of the TOPS program. She was an avid painter and photographer and won Wyandotte County Fair ribbons for her artwork and cooking. Earline was also a gifted writer and musician and wrote her own music and lyrics.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bob, Bill & Don Woodson; her daughter-in-law, Dana Marie Loftiss; her grandson, Jared Loftiss; and her great-granddaughter, Tulip Earline Loftiss.
Earline is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Howard Loftiss of the home; her children, Richard Loftiss (Susie) of Sandy, UT, Connie McEachron (Harold) of KCK, Stan Loftiss (Sondra) of KCK, Thomas Loftiss (Cheryl) of KCK, and John Loftiss (Denise) of KCK; her siblings, Ray Woodson (Diane), Jim Woodson (Laura), Dean Woodson (Candy), Betty Schwartz, Joann Brown (Bob), and Martha Hunter (Marty); as well as twenty-one grandchildren, forty-six great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
