Frances "Francie" Hale, 49, passed away on June 18, 2017. A memorial visitation will be from 12:30-2:30 p.m., with a service at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 23rd at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Francie was born September 26, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri to Francis G. and Edna Hale. She graduated in 1986 from Oak Park High School in Gladstone. Francie worked for the US Postal Service as a carrier and then many years for the Basehor and Bonner Springs school districts as a bus driver. Her focus in her life was her family, especially her two boys. Francie volunteered with their Boy Scout troops and always invited their friends over to hang out. She was the honorary mom or aunt to most people in the neighborhood. Francie was the life of the party and if there wasn't currently a party, she had her own. She never met a stranger and would have done anything for anyone, no matter what. Francie was an excellent cook and loved flowers. She loved country music, particularly Alan Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francis G. Hale; her sister, Linda Depew; her grandma, Julia Beth; and her aunt, Ethel Wirthman.
Francie is survived by her mother, Edna Hale of Gladstone; her spouse, Kenny Wewers of the home; her sons, Cody Hale of Lawrence, Cole Hale of the home, and Cory Wewers of Bonner Springs; her siblings, Robbie Hale of Gladstone, Mary Akins (Keith) of Kearney, MO, and Ellen VanBuskirk of California; as well as many nieces, nephews and a ton of extended family and friends.
Fond memories and condolences for Francie may be left at www.chapelhill-butler.com, as arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
