Georgia was born June 18, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas to Glen and Mary Ann Blakesley. She graduated from Wyandotte High School and married the love of her life, Charles Meacham, on November 2, 1958. Georgia worked for Steve's Shoes as a switchboard operator, for Artex Paints and Marley Cooling Tower as a secretary, and retired after over twenty years of service for G.A.B. Robins. She enjoyed watching television, especially the Andy Griffith Show and the Food Network. Georgia collected porcelain dolls and always made sure that her home and appearance were "just so." She had style and grace, and will be dearly missed. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Charles Meacham; her son, Steve Meacham and his wife Helen of Kansas City, Missouri; her three grandchildren, Catherine McCord and her husband Matthew of Goshen, Indiana, and Charles W. Meacham, II and Christina Meacham of Kansas City, Missouri; her siblings, Mr. Lee Blakesley and his wife Tami of Leawood, Kansas, Ms. Janice Weaver of Magnolia, Texas, and Mr. Scott Blakesley and his wife Kim of Peculiar, Missouri; her cousins, Mr. James Hadley of Shawnee, Mrs. Vicki Currie and her husband John "Daryl" of Shawnee, and Mrs. Roberta Cash and her husband Danny Jones of Kansas City, Kansas; her aunt, Marguerite Kowker of Kansas City, Kansas; as well as many other relatives and friends.
